Skinly — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Skinly iOS app and related services (the "Service"), operated by Vahan Grigoryan ("we", "us", "our"). By using Skinly you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Skinly is a daily skin-tracking app. Each day, you take one face photo; Skinly's AI reads it and returns a score, four sub-readings, and plain-language observations — never a score below a confidence threshold, and never a diagnosis. Skinly also suggests skincare products from a curated catalogue ranked against an evidence table of well-studied ingredients, lets you track products on a shelf against your own score history, and offers an optional 30-Day Glow Challenge.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Skinly. You can use Skinly as a guest without an account, or create a free account (email and password, or Sign in with Apple). If you create an account, you are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

3. Free tier and Skinly Pro subscriptions

Skinly is free to download and use, with a limited number of scans each month. Skinly Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription that raises your monthly scan limit:

  • Monthly: $5.99 per month
  • Yearly: $39.99 per year ("Save 44%" versus paying monthly)

Prices are in U.S. dollars; equivalent local pricing and taxes may vary by region.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
  • You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID settings on iPhone or the App Store subscription screen. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Pro access until the end of the paid period.
  • Use Restore Purchases in the app to regain access on a new device.
  • If we change subscription pricing, changes apply only on renewal and Apple will notify you in advance as required.

Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the photos you take. You grant us a limited license to store and process them solely to provide the Service (generating your score, sub-readings, and observations, and showing your shelf history). Only photograph yourself, or content you have the right to use. Photos are private to your account (or device session, in guest mode) and are never shared with other users.

5. AI scoring — not medical advice

Skinly's score, sub-readings, and observations are generated by automated analysis of your photo and are descriptive, cosmetic-language feedback only. They are not a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, or a substitute for advice from a dermatologist or other qualified professional. Product suggestions reflect a general evidence table, not a personalized medical assessment — always check ingredient lists against your own sensitivities and consult a professional for any skin condition.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: violating laws; attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service; uploading photos that are unlawful, infringe anyone's rights, or depict any person without their consent; or using automated tools to abuse the AI features or circumvent usage allowances.

7. Account deletion

To delete your account and associated personal data, contact us at [email protected]. You can delete individual scan or shelf photos directly in the app at any time. Apple-managed subscriptions are cancelled separately from your Apple account settings.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including uninterrupted availability or that AI-generated results will be accurate or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Armenia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
