VocalArc — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the VocalArc iOS app and related services (the "Service"), operated by Vahan Grigoryan ("we", "us", "our"). By using VocalArc you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

VocalArc is a singing trainer that analyzes your pitch on your device in real time, scores short exercises, and helps you build a practice path toward a goal song. Pitch detection and scores are approximate and provided for general practice and entertainment purposes.

2. Not professional instruction

VocalArc is a self-guided practice tool, not a substitute for a professional vocal coach or medical advice. If you experience vocal strain, pain, or discomfort, stop and rest, and consult a qualified professional. Do not rely on VocalArc for any medical or health decision.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use VocalArc. The core app is usable without an account. If you create an optional account, you are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account, and you agree to provide accurate information.

4. Purchases

VocalArc is free to download, and practising in it is free and unlimited. There is an optional one-time unlock that opens the advanced exercise library, unlimited goal songs, and deeper progress analytics.

  • It is a single purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing is billed again, and there is nothing to cancel.
  • The price is shown in the app before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple ID on confirmation.
  • Restore: if you reinstall VocalArc or move to a new device, tap Restore Purchases on the unlock screen. This works even if you have never signed into a VocalArc account, because Apple — not us — holds the record of your purchase.
  • Payments are handled by Apple. We do not receive your card details. Refunds are handled by Apple per its policies.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including violating laws, or attempting to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.

Nothing you write is ever shown to another VocalArc user. The community leaderboard identifies everyone by an automatically generated nickname, so there is no public name, comment, or profile to moderate.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the goal songs, display name, and other content you submit. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the Service — for example, to build your training path. Your display name is never shown to anyone else; the leaderboard uses a generated nickname. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is handled. Your microphone audio is analyzed on-device and is never collected by us.

7. Account deletion

If you created an account, you can delete it and its synced data from inside the app: Settings → Profile and account → Delete account. You can also contact us. Guest data lives only on your device and is removed when you delete the app. Deleting your account does not refund the one-time unlock, which stays attached to your Apple ID and can be restored at any time.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of pitch detection or scoring, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any outcomes arising from your use of the Service.

10. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, in-app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Armenia, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will be brought exclusively in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
