Mira — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Mira ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Mira you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to operate the Service.

Account information (when you create an account):

  • Email address and a hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text)

Style profile (what you tell us so Mira can style you):

  • Sex, height, build, and clothing sizes
  • Style preferences, colors you avoid, and the occasions you dress for

Photos you upload (the core of the Service):

  • Wardrobe photos — pictures of your garments. They are uploaded securely to our servers, analyzed by an automated styling model to tag each piece (category, color, material, season), and stored as your private wardrobe.
  • Fit-check photos — pictures of a garment you are considering buying, uploaded and analyzed to score how well it fits your existing wardrobe.
  • Styling feedback photos — pictures of yourself in an outfit, uploaded and analyzed to produce styling feedback.

All photos are linked to your account, visible only to you, and used solely to build your wardrobe and produce your styling results. They are never shared with other users, never used for advertising, and never sold.

Purchase information (if you subscribe to Mira Pro):

  • Your subscription status and purchase history, processed by Apple and our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat). We do not receive or store your payment card details — all payments are handled by Apple.

Notifications (optional):

  • If you enable notifications, we store a device push token to deliver them. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.

Technical information (collected automatically):

  • App version, iOS version, device model
  • Limited diagnostic logs (e.g. error events)

We do not collect your contacts, location, or browsing history. Mira has no advertising or analytics SDKs — we don't track you across apps or websites, and we don't build an advertising profile.

3. How we use information

We use the information to:

  • Provide the Service (tag your wardrobe, compose and score outfits, fit-check purchase candidates, give styling feedback)
  • Ground every styling recommendation in your own style profile
  • Process your subscription and unlock Mira Pro features
  • Send account emails you request (e.g. password reset) and notifications you opt into
  • Maintain, secure, and improve the Service
  • Provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your information.

4. How we share information

We share information only with service providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed:

  • Apple — app distribution and payment processing for subscriptions
  • RevenueCat — subscription management and receipt validation
  • Resend — transactional email (e.g. password reset)
  • Cloudflare — secure storage for uploaded photos, plus security and content delivery

Our AI styling runs on our backend infrastructure, which may use vetted AI processing providers to analyze photos and generate styling results on our behalf; they process your data only to deliver the requested analysis and do not use it to train their models.

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms. We do not sell data to data brokers and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

5. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your associated personal data, including your photos, except where we are required to retain certain records to comply with legal obligations.

6. Your choices and rights

  • Access / correction / deletion: You can delete your account and associated data directly in the app (Profile → Delete Account). You may also contact us at [email protected].
  • Wardrobe and profile: You can edit or delete wardrobe items and change your style profile in the app at any time.
  • Notifications: Opt out anytime in iOS Settings → Notifications.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA. Contact us to exercise them.

7. Children's privacy

Mira is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. Security

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and secure token storage on your device. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, in-app.
