Deal Pill — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Deal Pill ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our iOS app and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using Deal Pill you agree to this Policy.
1. Who we are
Deal Pill is operated by Vahan Grigoryan, contactable at [email protected].
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to operate the Service.
Account information (when you create an account):
- Email address
- A hashed password (we never store passwords in plain text)
- Your subscription tier (free or premium)
Product tracking data (when you use the Service):
- Amazon product identifiers (ASINs) you choose to track
- Your target prices and alert preferences
- Push notification device tokens (so we can send price alerts)
Purchase information (if you subscribe):
- Subscription status (active / canceled / expired) — provided to us by Apple via RevenueCat after you purchase
- We do not receive or store your payment card details. All payments are handled by Apple.
Technical information (collected automatically):
- App version, iOS version, device model
- Limited diagnostic logs (e.g., error events)
We do not collect contacts, photos, location, browsing history, or any data we do not actively need to provide the Service.
3. How we use information
We use the information to:
- Provide the Service (track prices, send alerts, sync your watchlist across devices)
- Maintain and improve the Service
- Communicate with you about your account or important Service changes
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Third-party services we rely on
We use a small set of vendors that process data on our behalf. Each one is bound by a contract limiting how they can use that data.

We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
5. Data sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
- With the vendors listed in Section 4, solely to operate the Service
- If required by law (court order, subpoena, etc.)
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of users or others
6. Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. When you delete your account from the app, we delete your personal data within 30 days from active systems. Backup copies are purged within 90 days. Anonymized or aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for analytics.
7. Your rights
You can at any time:
- Access your data — visible in the app
- Delete your account — from Settings → Delete Account
- Manage notifications — from Settings or iOS Settings → Notifications → Deal Pill
- Manage your subscription — from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
EU/UK/California users have additional rights under GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA, including the right to request a copy of your data or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email [email protected].
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data:
- TLS encryption in transit
- Encryption at rest on our database provider
- bcrypt password hashing
- Secure storage of authentication tokens in iOS Keychain
No system is 100% secure. If we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Children
Deal Pill is not intended for users under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International users
Deal Pill is operated from Armenia. If you use the Service from outside that country, your data will be transferred to and processed there. By using the Service you consent to such transfer.
11. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
